July 23: Meet the Candidates Forum - for city and state offices - at Samaritan United Methodist Church, 4234 Washington Avenue, St. Louis

November 23 & 24: Organized a “Project Weekend” to work together to improve our CWE neighborhood and maintain diversity by helping those at risk stay in their homes.

2003

March: Identify a homeowner in our HGC neighborhood who was in dire need of held on the repair of her house. This project was coordinated by St. John’s United Methodist Church.

November 29: American Red Cross Blood Drive at Central Reform Congregation

2004

August 2/3: Canvass our CWE neighborhood to spread the word about the upcoming lead poisoning forum.

May 14 & 15: Painting School Fences Project, Mullanphy School, 4221 Shaw Ave., St. Louis

2006

April 20: Holy Ground Joint Service “Interfaith Voices of Holy Protest” - to raise our voices against Medicaid Cuts

April 30: First Annual Holy Ground Concert and Potluck at Central Reform Congregation

May: Began assistance to the Trinity Food Pantry for their “Hot Lunch Program” on the 1st Sunday of each month. Member congregations prepare and serve meals on a rotating schedule. (We have continued this involvement ever since.)

June 29: Holy Ground Joint Pride Week Service “Pride Not Prejudice”

August 4/5: HGC crew assists with Habitat for Humanity project

September 17: Holy Ground Picnic at First Unitarian Church

November 23: Holy Ground Thanksgiving Service at Cornerstone Institutional Baptist Church

2007

April 20: Holy Ground Collaborative received Recognition Award from Art of Living Foundation

May 18: Family Friendly Community Service Project & Picnic at Cornerstone Institutional Baptist Church. The member congregations picked up trash in areas between the congregations, planted trees, involved themselves in a community art project, and then joined together in having a barbeque picnic.
